Disney did What?

Okay boys and girls stay with me on this.  It will be worth it.

So you may remember the previous noise of the "Don't Say Gay" bill in Florida that has already passed their Senate and is on the way to the Governor's desk for signature.

Not the Real Governor of Florida

It's the bill that limits the freedom of speech for Florida Teachers making it illegal for them to talk about anything to do with the LGBTQIA+ family or their relatives (the last part is a joke).

Remember how Disney behind the scenes financially supported the bill all while telling their employees that if it bothers them they should seek counseling?

Well apparently Bob Chapek, Disney's CEO was called out for speaking out about the bill but not really condemning it.  Hmmm.

When that raised a stink eye over the magic kingdom Bob called the Governor and "tried to talk him" out of signing it.

Bob has further come out and is now trying to claim that Disney is against the bill but, not their fault, the Governor is planning on going forward with it.

Bob even went so far as to pledge $5 million bucks to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

Apparently HRC smelled a rat and turned it down until Disney actually does something to stop it.

"The Human Rights Campaign will not accept this money from Disney until we see them build on their public commitment and work with LGBTQ+ advocates to ensure that danderous proposals (sic) don't become dangerous laws."

This from HRC's interim president Joni Madison.

If you would like to chime in on this one on Twitter use the hashtag #DisneySayGay.

BTW, stock prices for DIS (Walt Disney Co) are down and not doing well.
