Well boys and girls it looks like Disney has been at it again.
Remember the "Don't Say Gay" bill in Florida? Apparently Disney has been donating money to support the passing of it.
The bill would make it illegal for teachers to mention LGBTQ people in elementary schools.
I know many of you would think this is a good thing, but what most of you don't know or understand is that the average age of 13 which would put them in 6th or 7th grade depending on their birthday.
I know from my tender years in the public school system the complete and utter lack of information on the subject made it so much worse when I discovered at the age of 7 (in second grade) to be transgender. Hell, the didn't even have that word yet and outside of reality TV there was nothing available until I was out of High School.
Do you really want to make it more difficult for our children to discover knowledge about themselves?
Oh and getting back to the House of Mouse, up until recently they were telling their employees that they should seek counseling if the matter disturbs them. Also, did I mention that Disney gave money to support this bill?
By the way, as of 2021 Disney employed 190,000, many of which are Florida residents.
Disney is known for being family friendly yet if you dig just a little you will find plenty of bad beneath the surface.
From racial characterizations to using human skeletons in their rides, Disney has a long history of missing the mark of human goodness.

For me personally, while I find their parks fun I don't like dealing with the people who run this weird and wonderful place.
My favorite character is still and will always be Maleficent.
You go girl!
