I was reading some news that gets sent to me daily dealing with transgender and I ran across an article from LGBTQ Nation.
Jay Leno subtly roasted Bill Maher for transphobic joke

In the article it was pointed out that Maher has a history of spouting inaccurate, anti-trans rhetoric, specifically about trans youth and surgeries.
"We're literally experimenting on children," he continued, repeating misinformation about trans care that is being spewed by the political right and the ignorant.
Gender-affirming care has been endorsed by the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Psychiatric Association and many others.
It's not what the right would want you to think.
It's not a case of "Oh, Johnny likes pink and dolls. We better get him scheduled for a vaginoplasty!"
It takes time and effort to get approved for this treatment, and yes, it takes doctors and not comedians or republicans like Bill Maher.
